The Crusaders won with a total team score of 3837, right ahead of runner-up Byron Center with 3799. Wyoming Park finished third with 3719, followed by Zeeland (3588) and Wyoming Rogers (3575).
In the final OK Green Standings, Zeeland finished in first, followed by Rogers, Unity Christian, Byron Center and Wyoming Park.
Scores for the Zeeland boys were:
Mark Calcut 211-192-246 for a 649 which was 6th on the All Tournament Team
Brandon DeJonge 179-194-219 for a 592 which was tied for 10th on the All Tournament Team
Nick Walker 161-237-194 for a 592 which was tied for 10th on the All Tournament Team
Spencer Mohr 195-178-139 for a 512
The boys started slow in the baker games with 161 and 160. With time starting to run out… they were down by 36 pins to Rogers, Zeeland shot a 212 to Rogers 201 to make up some ground and saved there best for last shooting a 270 (new school record) to Rogers 232 to beat Rogers by 13 pins and take the OK Green Conference.
We really missed our Senior Kevin Schoenborn who was in Iowa for school but the guys really stepped up today when they needed to especially Mark Calcut who saved his best for last.
