Only in Michigan can you turn your air conditioner on one day and then the next day, your furnace.  Geesh!!   Anyway, even though it turned colder, things are heating up athletically.

Congratulations to our boys & girls track teams who both captured an outright OK Green conference championship last Friday night.  We wish them the best tomorrow as they compete at Regionals in Ludington to earn the right to compete at State!  Good luck to all those competing.

Yesterday our boys golf team competed in the OK Green conference championship at Macatawa Legends in awfully tough conditions.  The wind was so bad it was what golfers would call a “3 club wind”.  Despite the nasty conditions, our boys team won the meet securing a 2nd place finish in the league.  A big shout out to freshman Davis Courtright who was the 2nd place finisher with a 77.  I challenge anyone who is reading this to shoot a legit 77 inthose conditions!  Andrew Everse was also in the top 10 with a 81, Keegan Ensing with an 87, Cole Potter with a 91, Tyler DeJonge with a 97 and Trenton Potter with a 100.

I would also like to acknowledge Coach Steve Bearss who will be retiring from coaching after 33 years!  Steve has done a tremendous job teaching the game of golf to his athletes and an even better job of mentoring, caring, and being involved in the lives of not only his athletes but also his students.  Steve will surely be missed.  If you see him, be sure to thank and congratulate him for a job well done!

Girls tennis had their conference championship last week Tuesday and despite a great effort, placed a close 2nd to eventful winner Holland Christian.  Great season ladies and as I write this are competing at Regionals.  We wish them the best today!

The next few weeks gets kind of crazy as we start to gear up for the MHSAA Tournament run.  Best wishes to everyone who is competing.

Boys lacrosse won their conference final last night against Grand Haven and continue in the tournament next week.  They have had a tremendous season so far and wish them the best on a deep run!

Next week’s schedule is attached.  (clicking on the image will enlarge it)
