I’m sure many of you are wondering why they paired Zeeland East & Zeeland West in the 1st round of the playoffs. In a perfect world, we would be in separate Divisions but because our enrollment is so close, that isn’t an option. I attached an article from the MHSAA explaining how the process works and there really is a method to it. Unfortunately, one of our teams season will come to an end this Friday but I continue to tell the story of how unique and how fortunate we are in Zeeland to have two schools on the same campus who are typically making a run in the playoffs.
The game will be played this Friday at 7:00 with Zeeland East being the home team again based on playoff points. We will pre sell tickets on Thursday & Friday so please stay tuned to those details.
Because this is an MHSAA sponsored event, no passes of any kind will be accepted. All tickets are $5. Again, we will pre sell this week and will have tickets available at the gate. Gates will open at 6:00.
If you have any questions, please fell free to contact us here in the athletic office.
I would also like to congratulate our boys tennis team who not only won Regionals this year, but finished in 7th place at the State Tournament. They don’t hand out trophies for 7th place but that doesn’t negate the success our boys had this season! Great job to the team and to the Regional Coach of the Year, Jed Mulder!
Don’t forget to visit www.fedewadroneservices.com to see (and purchase if interested) some very cool aerial shots of this past Friday’s game.
Volleyball is home Tuesday and away on Thursday as they prepare for their playoff run as we host Districts the first week of November.
Cross Country looks to qualify as a team for the State Meet this Saturday as they prepare for Regionals.
Our swimmers & divers also look to a successful post season and they take on Hamilton on Tuesday.
And finally, Water Polo will compete at East Kentwood this weekend for their Regional Tournament.
Best wishes to ALL our athletes who are still competing!
Yours in Sport,
