Game Recap

The Chix battled hard against Hudsonville in the District Finals today, and came up just short against the visiting Eagles. It was a competitive back and forth game the whole way through.
Scores were: 21-25, 23-25, 25-21, 21-25.
Although this puts an end on the Chix season, this loss does not define the successes and improvements that this special group of girls made throughout the 2017 season. The Chix finished with a record of 32-12-4, one of the more successful seasons in the ZE Volleyball program’s recent history. They finished 2nd place in the OK-Green going 10-2 in conference play. They were Zeeland East Tournament Champions, Mona Shores Best of the West Tournament Champions, and were 2nd place finishers at the Grand Haven Tournament.
Most importantly, this season, we graduate 5 top-notch seniors, Sophie Riemersma, Claire DeJonge, Brecken Boeve, Jenna Berens and Suenomi Norinh. These 5 seniors have lead our team through it all, have been constant encouragers, supporters, and leaders by example. They are leaving behind their legacy and have definitely left a mark on the Zeeland East Volleyball program. Seniors, we are very proud of you, and we can’t thank you enough for all that you have done!
